being alone

I saw this recently and it really spoke to me. I find it to be so true.

(not sure where I saw it...if it was your blog, please let me know, and what the source might be!)
I love having my alone time. I lived by myself for five years and really adored it. Now, I am living with Steve, which I love even more, but I still need some time to myself.
What about you? Do you find yourself craving alone time? How often?

I lived on my own for four years before marrying Jeff. I LOVED my time alone ... to draw, paint, quilt, craft. It is a total way of refueling for me too! Now a wife and the mom to 3 young boys I do miss my "alone time"! I'm sure it will return before I know it and I'll then miss my "boy-time." (sigh) always want what you don't have.

I love my husband dearly but find it necessary to have my alone time too. I'm lucky enough to have 8 hours a day, Monday thru Friday, just for me!

I definitely need alone time to refuel. Having my very own sewing room has made a world of difference for me, but I also need to be careful to not isolate/escape in difficult situations when I need to be engaged.

Oooh, I love that! I'm going to steal it, I mean borrow it!

I've taken four personality tests in the last ten years and all lean toward being slightly more introverted than extroverted. Surprisingly what that means is that I need that down-time, alone time to refuel, just like your sign says. I'm not a shy person and I actually enjoy doing recruiting. But after a day of gabbing and visiting with folks, I need that alone time to refocus so I can do it again the next day. Extroverts are the opposite typically.... they need other people around them to refuel and reenergize. Either that or they jump on the phone to connect that way. It's all interesting stuff!

as much as i love matt, i most definitely love time on my own. it was the best when he'd leave on sundays for football and have his time and i'd relax and read or watch tv by myself. it's just so rejuvenating sometimes.

I definitely need time to be alone, too, which rarely happens... but I make time to read alone at the end of the night to recharge my batteries and just... be. It's essential to my happiness, no doubt about it!

I need alone time too. Sometimes I find myself getting really cranky and I realize that its because I haven't been alone in a few days. It's been nice since law school started. I get all the alone time I need!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I love Geof to the moon and back, but this girl needs an afternoon to herself from time to time. He travels for work now and then, so I do get a nice balance. He also loves his video games and spends time in the "man-cave" for that.
