How do you feel about in-home parties, ie, things such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Lia Sophia, etc?
Are you often invited to them by your friends? Do you go? Do you purchase anything? Do you find them annoying? Do you feel obligated to purchase something?
Me? I like them. I find them fun. I like learning about new products and trying new things. I don't seem to be invited to them often, but when I am, I usually go, assuming I can, and I often buy something, not out of obligation, but because I want to.
Tonight Steve and I went to a wine tasting party. I hadn't heard of this company, but we had a lot of fun. We tried a few new wines, had some munchies and met a few new people.
Always a good time.
We didn't purchase anything this time, but did sign up to host a party of our own. Want to come? :)

Yes, yes I do want to come. Love me some wine. :)
I usually like those sorts of things. My mom would host them when I was younger, but my friends haven't gotten into them too much.
I'll come :) I love me some wine.
Um ok I swear I didn't see littlespoon's "I love me some wine" comment before I posted mine. Yay for poor grammar!
i only accept invitations to the parties i want to go to... ie. i LOVE pampered chef but avoid Mary Kay like the plague
Great meeting you the other evening. :)
I like them well enough, but I never buy anything. Eek!
I loveee lia sophia jewelry, but it is soo out of my budget right now. My mom and her friends/family used to have jewelry and pampered chef parties all the time, so I would always tag along. I haven't been to one in a long time, but a wine party sounds like fun!
I used to like these parties, but I swear I feel like I am getting invited to one every other week. And then of course I feel guilty if I don't buy stuff. Blah.
However, I am a big fan of CAbi and will probably attend another party in the spring. :)
I think they're generally fun. I love Lia Sophia parties in particular. I generally try to buy at least a little something when people host a party. The trouble is, when everyone in your group of friends is hosting parties at once...it gets expensive.
I'd definitely go to a wine party but I'm not really into the other stuff...
My jewelery parties are just too expensive.
but like I said... wine or food! always good with those
I've hosted two wine parties and signed up for a third! It's just a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon :)
