vintage littles!

Do you remember Fisher Price Little People? I recently saw someone post a picture of these little vintage pieces on twitter, and had a major flashback. Immediately, I needed this little lady and her sewing machine! I hopped onto ebay, and scored a win at $11.47 shipped!
Look at her little quilt!

Cutest thing ever, no?

When I was a wee young thing, we had a lot of these Little People sets. We had the school, and the parking garage, and all sorts of them. I think I had forgotten how much I loved them, but was reminded by seeing all of the sets for sale on ebay! I immediately called my parents, to see if the old toys are still in our old playroom...but it seems they were donated somewhere years ago. So sad. I kind of wanted them again!

Meanwhile, this little lady will sit in my sewing room!

Did you play with Little People as a child?

Oh I LOVE it! We played with tons of little people growing up, although, I never have seen the sewing machine. I will say that as a parent I was super paranoid about the choking hazard aspect. HA! Somehow our generation was spared that angst and loved them SO MUCH! My 2 favs were the cruise ship and the Old Lady's Shoe. LOVE THEM~!

Oh, I LOVED playing with Little People as a child. I think I owned everything, for real...Every time Fisher Price put a new toy out, my parents bought it for me. I even had that little set with the lady and the sewing machine that you just bought!

Sadly, my parents sold most of my toys over the years at garage sales, but I love browsing on Ebay to see what people are selling.

I want one!!! I loved Little People. When I was a girl, they had wooden bodies.

I'm pretty sure I never owned little people. But I do at least remember playing with them at pre-school.
