What sort of planner/agenda do you use? I know that many use blackberries/iphones/outlook, but I am a bit old school, and I like a book that I can write in, and flip through the pages. For some reason, it makes me feel more organized. I like that I can see the calendar for the month and then each week gets a page of its own.
For the last few years, I have used a Vera Bradley agenda, which I really like a lot. I think I first found it in 2007 and it has improved each year since! It is the perfect size to fit into the bags that I use for work, and has great features inside. It has pockets for notes, and room to list addresses and whatnot. I color coordinate too- on the calendar page, I use a pink pen for birthdays, green for anniversaries, purple for another day of significance that isn't a birthday or anniversary (more so a reminder to myself). Then, for random events or whatever, I usually use blue.
Of course, since it is mid-December, I am finding that now I have events coming up in January that I can't write down, and it is driving me nuts! I've been writing them on post-it notes and sticking them on the last page, so that I can write them down in my new agenda, when I get it! It's making me feel disorganized, and I am hardly the most organized, though I try!
I put the new VB agenda on my Christmas list, so I am hoping that Santa puts it in my stocking! If he doesn't, I will buy it for myself.
Anyone else crazy about their agenda, or am I the only crazy? :)

i use the franklin covey planners that they sell at Target - they're great planners with lots of space to write things in - i have a blue and white floral canvass one from target for like $20 :D
i use Franklin Covey too but i use the ones from the store (i didn't know Target had any)
i swear by them!
i use to have the tiny one but then needed a different setup so i've been using the Compact version for a couple of years now.
you can buy the 2010 pages by Sept '09 so you don't have to use sticky notes. i really love the system and the options to customize are so good... i use page a days but you can get them by the week or even 2pgs a day.
and i am a color-coder too! i even use pink for birthdays and purple for other dates of significance! but my green is for places to be and orange is appointments : )
everything else goes in black/blue, depending on the pen in my hand : )
I do the EXACT same thing in my day planner with the colored pens. So funny...
I love it that your asking this question. I've been wanting a new day planner too. I've been using Franklin Covey but the cheap ones sold at Target. Another blogger mentioned the Kate Spade planners but I'm not sure if they will be in my budget.
Let us know what you decide to use for 2010.
I love my google calendar...and use it 24/7. It's great. It just saves time and I can plan things out so far in advance!
I consider myself a pretty organized person, but I'm also a bit of a control freak, so I need to use MY OWN system. Therefore planners like Franklin Covey absolutely do not work for me. Basically I just use a blank spiral notebook and write lists for the day, the week. Sometimes I print out a blank monthly calendar off of the internet and will fill in things for the month. In school I used just a basic weekly planner to keep track of my assignments. I've tried to get into the Google calendar, using my phone, but it seems I just have to have a good old piece of paper and a pen to write things down and cross things off.
I still love using a paper calendar too! I just can't get into electronic calendars. I use the At A Glance calendars because that is what my office orders me. I really like it.
I use the Kate Spade planner, the paper one, not the leather agenda, I love it!!
PS! I tagged you today! Hope you want to play along!!
I used just a lined note pad, where I keep all my thoughts, lists, plans, ideas together...
I try and use my grey matter, sometimes aided by the reminder feature on my mobile phone...
I'm addicted to post-its too!
My office coworkers always make fun of me for color-coding all my to-do lists. I make full use of highlighters on my calendar too. How do people stay organized without colors? It's nice to see other people have the same obsessive compulsive tendencies. Yay for Type A!
I love the Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer agendas (I actually ordered the Kate Spade one today- for a giveaway on my blog at the end of the month...so you better enter!:D)
I don't really use any type of planner. I just make a point to remember things. Which I'm sure will get me into trouble eventually.
So funny because I was just thinking about this topic today! I used to be very big on the planner. From 6th grade up until I graduated COLLEGE, I almost always had one in some shape or form. Right now I'm just using my cell phone calendar, but I've been thinking about getting a new one! :)
I love having a planner to write in also, but the past few years, I've gotten really slack, and I've only been writing things and using my phone. But I think that I'm going to buy one this year, because with the little one, I won't be on my phone or email near as often. :)
I just use my Outlook calendar - it works well for me & keeps me so on track!!
Brown Eyed Girl is a massive planner, but I don't know what she uses (if anything).
I have a stylish Louis Vuitton planner and every year I buy the day-at-a-glance stuff for that year. Well, it never fits inside my pocketbooks, so I end up writing out appointments and to-do list on sheets of paper and stuffing those inside my pocketbooks. Pretty ridiculous, huh?
