I lied

Apparently I was wrong. Wedding season is not over. I have one more to attend. In Iowa. On Halloween.

Sigh. Just when I thought I was done...

It's not a real wedding...it's a vow renewal ceremony. The kicker? It is Halloween themed and I am supposed to dress like a pirate. For a wedding.

Seriously.

I have no idea how I get myself into these things.

wait, so it's a pirate themed halloween wedding? or it's a halloween themed wedding and they told you what to dress as?
either way, you should just look real pretty and wear a patch over one eye : )

oooookay, now hold on a second. I'm going to temporarily ignore the pirate part (wtf) to raise a separate grievance: wasn't it your very own steve who just categorically rejected the idea of a halloween wedding about this time last year? And now he wants to go to one, that's not even a real one, in Iowa? What's he dressing as? I have some ideas ...

Wow! That's pretty funny...I might have to find a way to conveniently skip that wedding. I don't think you would find me dressing as a pirate for a wedding! :)

OMG my friend was a maid of honor for a Halloween wedding in Salem, MA and she had to wear a gothic costume. Crazy!!

AND - I gave you an award! http://perksofbeingajap.blogspot.com/2009/10/over-top.html

Oh my, that is really terrible.

Bail, come to NH and go trick or treating with us.

YOu can dress as yourself or you can wear a silly pirate costume.

Beastie would love it, so would I.

Good luck.

what an awesome idea! I wish more folks were more creative with their wedding ideas....less tradition and more fun!
